Welcome to the Cricket City Perth Festival of Cricket 2011-12! The partnership between the WACA and Eventscorp has been built on the idea of creating appealing cricket events for all West Australians and visitors to our great city, as well as showcasing all the fun, entertainment and excitement of a season of cricket in Perth.

After the success of last year’s Cricket City Perth Festival of Cricket, we have continued the concept from just being around the WACA Test Match to encompass all major matches in the summer of cricket, starting with our three KFC T20 Big Bash League matches in December and January with Perth’s newest sporting team, the Perth Scorchers, the third Vodafone Test Match from 13-17 January 2012 and culminating in our double Commonwealth Bank Series One-Day International, first one being on 8 February between World Cup finalists India and Sri Lanka and then the Aussies take on Sri Lanka on 10 February.

Throughout the months of November and December, the WACA will be running the Taylor Woodings Corporate Cricket Competition. Teams from businesses around the city will fight for the right to claim 'Best of the West' status in our modified Super 8s social cricket competition. Last year had over 30 teams on Langley Park every Wednesday in a fun and modified format of cricket, the WACA and Taylor Woodings are hoping to double that this year with 60 teams covering both Monday and Wednesday nights.

There will be something for everyone in this season's Cricket City Perth Festival of Cricket and we look forward to everyone being part of the fun!

Welcome to Sunny Perth!

Visitors to Perth often remark on the friendly, laidback environment that welcomes them.

In Perth you can choose to either explore a world-class wine region, picnic in one of Australia’s oldest conservation areas or watch the sun set over the ocean, all within 30 minutes from the city.

With more hours of sunshine than any other capital city in Australia, which ever activity you choose, chances are that there will be a blue sky overhead. It’s no wonder Perth has been voted as one of the world’s most liveable cities.

A visit to the world’s largest inner city park, Kings Park and Botanic Gardens, is a must for any visitor to Perth. The beach also plays an important role in Perth’s culture and with 19 in the metropolitan area to choose from, it’s easy to find your own slice of white sand to soak up the sun.

Perth is the place to be this Australian cricket summer season.
